Rates

Hourly rates depend on the type of project, and the market supply and demand of the skills involved. Generally rates will fall into the $120 - $150/hr range. Note that these are all-inclusive, schedule 1099 billing rates.

Range

Sometimes it is difficult to find the skilled resource you need in your area. The corporate aircraft allows me to accomodate a much wider geographical area than I would be able to otherwise. I can commute as far as Chicago, IL, Indianapolis IN, Cleveland or Columbus OH in less time than it takes some to drive to work. Other locations are easily reached on an as-needed basis.

For those sites even farther away, in past contracts, I have installed a telecommuting infrastructure customized to that client's site. While it allows me to do more work in less time, in each case the clients have also appreciated the means for other staff to be able to work remotely in order to keep projects moving. Ask me about:

• dial-up access
• Virtual network computing (VNC)
• Virtual private networking (VPN)
• X-windows
• Secure shell (SSH)
• and even a 3270 emulator for those clients with enterprise data on mainframes.
